In relation to the Larry Nassar case, students at MSU formed a march to show our support for the survivors and to rally for change in the administration at MSU.
I believe playing an active role in my community is important. Protesting, marching, and rallying makes me feel empowered. I feel strength in knowing that my voice is being heard. When the Larry Nassar news began to come out I felt the need to stand up for all of the survivors, to show my support, and let it be known that MSU must make the appropriate changes to grow from this. I made a sign with a permanent marker and some left over cardboard I found in my apartment. My sign resonated with other students and community members which led to the sign being featured across multiple news outlets.
